If you’ve ever lived and in a used home, and let’s face it, most of us have, you know that the older the home the fewer amenities you’re going to have. It’s like buying a used car. Even a model that is only a few years old isn’t going to have the convenient technology and superior safety features of a brand new car.
When we build new homes in Omaha, we’re building into the home the features and amenities our clients want. We know what they want because we ask for and listen to their feedback. What we have found is that people are looking for simple solutions to every day problems.
Sounds pretty simple, and yet not all home builders in Omaha build their homes with a keen eye to efficiency.
Take the kitchen, for example. The kitchen is a pretty standard room, it has a few walls, hopefully lots of counter and hopefully ample storage space. Most kitchens suffice. We’ve learned that a few key features like a hidden spice rack or under cabinet lighting can make the cooking a superior experience.
Rec rooms are also pretty standard, though a far cry from the shag carpeting rumpus rooms of days gone by, today’s rec rooms are luxurious spaces with an informal attitude. Whipping up some queso in the rec room is easy because you have a the amenities to entertain.
A truly luxurious home is going to have a wine cellar. We’ve created stunning wine cellars that are not only perfectly controlled to store your favorite investment wines, but they are beautiful to behold as well.
Of course in a used home you aren’t likely to find the stunning detail we include – from beautiful inlaid flooring designs to stunning ceiling embellishments, our homes reflect the lifestyle you live.
You may find some of these amenities in a used home, it’s possible. Many of the turn of the century Victorian homes had many of these beautiful built in features, but that was 100 years ago. The problem is finding one in its original condition, as well as your desired location. If you do manage to find one, odds are it’s going to be lacking in other areas. Windows won’t be tight and doors will likely be drafty. The electrical service will probably need an upgrade to accommodate all our plugged in devices and there probably won’t be any built in wifi.
